About

Based in Exmoor National Park, Squirrels Architecture was established in 2019 to support Somerset’s transition to zero carbon through providing creative architectural solutions which are resilient and beautiful.

Following Regenerative Design* principles, Squirrels Architecture exclusively supports projects which respond positively and proactively to the challenges of climate and ecological breakdown; providing sustainable solutions for new construction, retrofits, conversions and listed buildings.

In addition to traditional architectural services Squirrels Architecture provides consultancy and permaculture design to support individuals, companies, schools and community groups with a wide range of initiatives and projects - always with a focus on holistic sustainability.

*Regenerative Design is about making a positive contribution to our planet by enabling our human activity to do good.
Squirrels Architecture works to create places in which people can thrive whilst also protecting and enhancing the natural world around us. Our buildings are therefore designed as indivisible components of the wider regenerating and self-sustaining ecological system.
